QTT, INC. Names Polyconsult Ingenierie S.A. as New Distributor in Senegal

(DURHAM, NC  March, 2007) – Quixote Transportation Technologies, Inc. (QTT) announces a new distributor for its products in Senegal – Polyconsult Ingenierie S.A.  Polyconsult will distribute QTT’s highway advisory radio, integrated systems, traffic sensors and analysis systems, RWIS, fixed pavement and weather sensors, as well as mobile pavement sensors. 

Polyconsult began operations in 1991 and offers consulting services to its clients in all civil engineering areas.  The company is located in Dakar, Senegal and is the only engineering office in West Africa that has a traffic department.  Polyconsult uses ITS and US traffic / transportation technologies and specifications (HCM with HCS, Corsim, Transyt 7f, MUTCD, AASHTO Green Book, etc.).  The company has over 60 permanent employees, including 20 engineers, providing a combined experience base of over 100 years. 

Polyconsult is comprised of many engineering departments, from surveying, geotechnical, roadway, and bridges to hydraulics and hydrology.   The company focuses on innovative solutions and specialists in each department, which provide an edge over most engineering firms in the region.  The advantage Polyconsult offers its customers is that it provides a superior approach to ITS data collection and raw analysis.  Polyconsult’s main client is the the Senegalese DOT, known as Agence Autonome des Traveaux Routier (AATR). 

Polyconsult distributes QTT products in Senegal, and plans to expand the product line to other regions toward the end of this year.  Serigne Mor Anta Sali Sall, Traffic Specialist – Head of the Traffic Department, Momar Diop, Financial Specialist, and Amadou Sylla Nam, CEO, will handle the QTT product line for Polyconsult.
