QTT, INC. introduces its new DR2000™ Platinum Communication Control Software

(DURHAM, NC June 2007) – Quixote Transportation Technologies, Inc. (QTT) announces the release of its new DR2000 Platinum software.  DR2000 Platinum is a software system designed for data management, communication and viewing of transportation communication equipment including, Highway Advisory Radio (HAR) systems, community radio systems, flashing beacon systems and Variable Message Signs (VMS).     

DR2000 Platinum allows for full control of Highway Advisory Radios by monitoring, creating and changing broadcast messages of each HAR connected to the software.  The software system consists of a central server that manages and stores all information about the devices, and client software that allows a user to manipulate and control the central server. 

The software allows the user to control a single device or all devices within the system with a single command.  The status of each device can be monitored without having to travel to the site; access and control of the system is managed from the convenience of your computer.  The drag and drop functions allow sites to be configured quickly and easily.  Broadcast messages can be easily loaded using a microphone, optional text-to-speech function or by simply importing a .wav file.  Scheduling and prioritizing messages is simple with the calendar display and allows a user to set-up a single event or a recurring broadcast. 
 
DR2000 Platinum software is scalable for management of small systems to massive statewide multi-server operations.  Not only can the software manage HARs, but it can also manage other transportation communication devices such as flashing beacons and Variable Messages Signs.  DR2000 Platinum supports different user types, administrator, operator, and even allows for custom user types.  Further, the software has the ability to monitor set parameters and alert an administrator or user through email.

DR2000 Platinum is an upgrade from QTT’s previous DR2000 software.  DR2000 Platinum is more robust than its predecessor and is built with reliable software language to ensure continuous operation.  The powerful software is easier to navigate and use with enhanced features and control functions.
